It’s very hard to know where to start when it comes to describing Emma Watson and her credentials as one of Britain’s most talented exports. As if her jaw-dropping classic beauty wasn’t enough - along with her highly praised acting skills - Emma has now firmly established herself in the world of feminism by stepping forward as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for women’s rights.

Feminism has always been a subject I care deeply about, consequently meaning that I was blown away by Emma Watson’s courage as she took to the stage at the UN Headquarters in September this year, in an attempt to reach out to men and ask them to join women around the world in spreading awareness of the ‘HeForShe’ campaign. As you can imagine, Emma’s speech soon went viral on Youtube, inspiring many male celebrities to show their supporting including Harry Styles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and of course her former Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe. Sadly, it also meant that Emma went on to receive a barrage of online threats and trolling from people who, for some reason, did not agree with the campaign. But being the cool and calm-natured person she is, Emma handled the entire situation with dignity and the campaign has consequently continued to go from strength to strength.

Alongside acting as a role model for women across the world, Emma also has her feet firmly planted in the fashion world and never ceases to radiate poise and sophistication. Therefore, it is no surprise that after her years spent playing Hermione Granger in the multi-million pound Harry Potter franchise, she soon took on the role of spokesperson for world renowned British fashion house Burberry. I mean, let’s face it, you couldn’t possibly find a better person to represent the quintessential beauty of one of Britain’s most iconic brands could you?

Emma is also not shy about taking risks, as she has proven on many a red carpet and can often be seen wearing the colourful ensembles of Peter Pilotto (above right), Ralph Lauren (above left) and Christian Dior.

Get the Look

As you will no doubt notice from any picture you have may have seen of Emma Watson, she always manages to keep her off-duty style sprinkled with elegance at all times. And as much as I’m sure it would help to have a variety of Burberry trench coats at your disposal, the trick to Emma’s sophisticated look is actually in

her accessorising, be it a stylish pair of sunglasses, a simple tote (or clutch bag) or even a carefully selected pair of shoes. Never underestimate the power of a stylish pair of flats, or even a well-kept pair of sneakers (as long as there’s not a single speck of dirt on them – so not Emma’s style!).
